Receiverships 3.0 | Miami Regional MeetingTuesday, April 14 | 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM ET | W MiamiReceivers are an integral part of securities enforcement actions. They preserve and locate assets for the benefit of aggrieved investors and assume the management of the business enterprise—whatever that may be. This Program provides a general overview of SEC receiverships, from pre-suit considerations to discharge. We are fortunate to have Paul H. Tzur, the SEC Enforcement Division’s Deputy Director Central/South, overseeing the SEC’s Atlanta, Chicago, and Miami Regional Offices. Paul will discuss the recent changes at SEC Enforcement, including changes to the SEC Enforcement Manual, new enforcement priorities, the number of enforcement action investigations, and the new SEC Enforcement command structure. Paul will be joined by Judge Rodolfo A. Ruiz II of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Judge Ruiz is currently presiding over one of the largest receiverships in Florida history. Paul and Judge Ruiz will be joined by NAFER immediate past president Jonathan E. Perlman and Jeffrey C. Schneider, seasoned practitioners who have served as receiver, receiver’s counsel, and class counsel in some of the largest enforcement actions across the country. There is no charge to attend this event. Please note that this is an exclusively sponsored event and competing businesses may not attend this event.
