I am the head of Stephenson Harwood's Restructuring & Insolvency team and specialize in contentious insolvency and asset recovery litigation, in relation to both corporate and personal insolvency. I act for insolvency practitioners, creditors, debtors, directors and all other stakeholders in the insolvency process, with a focus on court driven and contentious insolvency matters. I am personally ranked Tier 2 for Personal Insolvency in the UK edition of Chambers & Partners. Recent work highlights include acting as Counsel for the Liquidators of Glasgow Rangers Football Club and acting as Counsel for the Trustee in Bankruptcy of Boris Becker; and for the Trustee in Bankruptcy of the one-time 79th richest man in Russia Georgy Trefilov. I sit on the General Technical Committee of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals ("R3") (the UK trade body for professionals working in restructuring and insolvency).
