Harold specializes in developing and implementing business strategies in complex situations. Primarily in the context of financially stressed businesses – and particularly in the fishbowl environment of Chapter 11 proceedings – Harold has led his team successfully: (a) to sell businesses and business assets, especially real estate; (b) to renegotiate tenants’ lease liabilities; and (c) from a real estate investment banking context, to source capital for real estate bridge loans, joint ventures, and sale-leasebacks. With over 35years of advisory and transactional experience, Harold has personally handled the valuation, assessment, disposition and/or restructuring of thousands of owned and leased properties throughout North America. He has provided expert valuation and witness testimony; been interviewed and quoted by numerous publications; and spoken at numerous seminars and conferences. Harold has represented business owners, tenants, financial institutions, and private equity and hedge funds, among others.
