NAFER Waterside Day
A Sea of Networking Opportunities New in 2025, we invite you to our first ever NAFER Waterside Day, a day made for making lasting connections with your NAFER colleagues. Join us on Wednesday, October 8 from 1:00 - 5:30 PM to experience all the fun that Ocean Reef Club has to offer. You may choose two activities of the six below, or opt for a full afternoon of golf!
Kayaking Our most popular nature program, these laidback trips take you through mangroves, past bird rookeries, and leave you speechless as you see clearly to the bottom of the sea floor. We offer Advanced as well as Beginner trips and will even teach you the very basics of kayaking in our “Introduction to Kayaking” class.
Snorkeling This fun filled excursion will take your group to one of our most popular snorkel locations in Carysfort Reef or Turtle Reef.
Sailing Explore the beauty of Ocean Reef Club from the water! Set sail for a fun afternoon of sight-seeing and sailing.
Pickleball A sport in which two; or four players, use solid paddles made of wood (or composite materials) to hit a perforated polymer ball over a net. Pickleball shares features with other racquet sports, the dimensions and layout of a Badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis, with a few modifications. Players first will be taught how to play and then really get to move on the court.
Bike Tour This trip offers a combination of exercise and gaining an appreciation for the foliage of Ocean Reef Club. We coast through three of the different ecosystems present here at the Club: the Mangroves, the lush vegetation, and the Hardwood Hammocks during the 1 hour tour. Really get to know Ocean Reef Club and all it has to offer.
Golf Cart Scavenger Hunt Truly an ORC Recreation Department Specialty! Given a list, a property guide, and a pen, teams travel the Club property, on golf carts, hunting for answers and items.
Or opt for an afternoon of golf As golf clubs go, Ocean Reef Club’s traditions go back more than half-a-century to 1955, when the first 9-hole course opened. Today the Club boasts two 18-hole courses, a rarity in the Florida Keys – even among standard golf clubs. Although the Hammock Course and the Dolphin Course offer distinctly different tests of golf, both feature scenic vistas and an enjoyable challenge for players of all levels. Finish the Day with New Connections at NAFER's Seaside Dinner CelebrationEnjoy a stunning beachfront setting, exquisite food, and engaging conversations, sponsored by Stretto. The perfect way to wrap up your networking experience!
